The advisor should contact their provincial resource centre. AERO has an ILL agreement with each resource service in the country.
Proof of a print impairment is not required, however, supporting documentation detailing how the applicant’s disability limits their ability to read regular print must be on file at the school and made available should AERO request it.
Yes, the website is ODA compliant.
Material is loaned free of charge for one school year. All elementary and secondary material must be returned in order to avoid being invoiced for the materials.
This service is for students with perceptual disabilities.
When you log onto the website on your home page, there is a HELP menu on the right side. Instructions on how to re-configure your browser are included which should enable you to download the files. Contact us if you have any difficulties 519-759-2522 or aero@wrms.ca
We encourage advisors to keep the original packaging to return materials. Parcels of materials weighing less than 15 pounds may be sent by mail post-free if they are marked Blind Post. Write BLIND POST in the upper right hand corner of the parcel where the stamp would normally be placed. Address to: AERO 350 Brant Avenue, Brantford Ontario N3T 3J9.
For titles that have been downloaded, the advisor agrees to delete the files on the school storage site and to delete the title under the student’s holdings. The advisor can also renew downloaded materials.
